After acquiring a perfectly rebuilt Atomic 4 in May 2018, it was professionally installed in June. The new Atomic 4 gas engine was removed from an 8 meter sailboat at RCYC, rebuilt and put in dry storage over winter before it’s installation on yKnot. Cost of upgrade: $4,000.00

A new robust Harken MKII Furling system was installed replacing the aging Furlex system, ahead of ordering the new Headsail Genoa 150. A new forestay was custom installed at the same time for greater responsiveness. Brand: Harken Cost of upgrade: $3,000.00
